1) How do I create a member account?
Our kiosk is designed to be self-service and easy to use. Your account is created when you first register for MindGym. Follow the on-screen prompts to set up your profile. If you need assistance, contact our support team for help.
2) What session should I take first?
For first-time users, we recommend starting with the Wingman, Bio Lesson One Orientation, or Intro to MindGym Session. These sessions introduce the MindGym experience, helping you become familiar with the environment, technology, and core concepts. If you have a specific goal (e.g., relaxation, focus, or recovery), you can select a relevant session based on your needs.
3) Do I need to use the biosensor headband?
For most sessions, no, the headband is not required to do a session unless doing a biofeedback-specific session like Project Delta Deep Focus or Wingman. You can still do the session without the headband but it might feel silly because the biofeedback will not function.
Lastly, the bio-sensor headband is essential for capturing your biometric data, which helps personalize your experience and track your progress. If you have issues with the headband, please contact support@lumenalabs.com or call (970)-900-5960.
4) What does the data mean?
MindGym captures biometric data related to your cognitive and physiological state, such as focus levels, relaxation, and heart rate. This data helps you track changes over time and optimize your sessions for maximum benefit. If you need a deeper breakdown of your results, please refer to this video.
5) The biosensor isn’t working, what should I do?
- Check Placement – Ensure the biosensor is positioned correctly with proper skin contact. Please refer to this video.
- Check Battery Level – Ensure the biosensor has sufficient charge.
- Contact Support – If the issue persists, please reach out to our support team.
6) How do I adjust the volume once I’m in MindGym?
The volume knob is located under the right arm rest on the chair within MindGym. Feel free to adjust the volume at any point throughout your session.
7) I have feedback about MindGym, what should I do?
We value your input! If you have feedback, please submit it through our feedback form MindGym Feedback Form or speak with a MindGym representative. Your insights help us improve the experience.
8) What should I be doing inside MindGym?
There’s no right or wrong way to experience MindGym. Whether you choose to focus on your thoughts, practice mindfulness, or simply relax, the space is yours.
For the best experience, we recommend:
- Placing both feet on the ground for stability.
- Settling into the chair and adjusting to a comfortable posture.
- Taking deep, steady breaths to promote relaxation.
However, feel free to adjust and engage in whatever way feels best for you.
9) Why should I use MindGym?
MindGym is designed to enhance mental performance, stress recovery, and resilience by leveraging biometric feedback and neuroscience-based techniques. Whether your goal is stress management, cognitive improvement, or recovery, regular use helps optimize your mental state and overall well-being.
FAQs - For Leaders & Staff
1) How do I clean MindGym? How often?
For routine cleaning, we recommend alcohol-free disinfectant wipes for the headphones and chair after each use. A detailed cleaning video for the headband can be found here. The wall mirrors are highly susceptible to scratches, so we suggest using a clean, dampened microfiber cloth, using only water to gently wipe dirty areas.
2) It’s a member’s first time using MindGym, which session(s) do you recommend starting with?
For first-time users, we recommend starting with the Wingman Session, Bio Lesson 1: Orientation, or Intro to MindGym Session. These sessions provide an introduction to the experience, helping members get comfortable with the environment and technology while priming them for future sessions.
3) Do you have tailored training protocols for specific topics (i.e. stress management, sleep, etc)?

4) How many times do I have to use MindGym before I see results?
Some people find benefit in as little as one session a month. Additionally, results vary based on individual goals, but most users begin noticing benefits after 3–5 sessions.
For optimal results, we recommend using MindGym at least 2–3 times per week. Long-term benefits, such as improved focus, resilience, and relaxation, are best achieved with regular engagement over time. That being said, we are all different, and if you feel like a rythem is working well for you, we won’t tell you you’re wrong!
